Everything You Need to Know About the Motif Twist Double Electric Breast Pump

Everything You Need to Know About the Motif Twist Double Electric Breast Pump

New Look

The Motif Twist breast pump has been a staple in the ever-expanding lineup of pumps. This steady performer is affordable, lightweight, and portable, and it’s gotten a full-on refresh! The new Twist features improvements that make this little pump a top choice for pumping moms who want an effective pump at an incredibly affordable price.

Everyone loves a glow-up! The Twist refresh includes a soft green color scheme that fits the Motif aesthetic. Even the LED light display has been updated to match! The coordinating storage bag makes it easy to tote this lightweight pump with you on the go.

New Motor

The Twist’s new motor is stronger, quieter, and more reliable!

  • Provides up to 280 mmHg of suctionThis suction level is on par with our core pump, the Luna, and many other high-performing pumps on the market.
  • 45-48 decibel hum (A hushed library is 40-45 decibels.)The Twist’s new quieter motor makes it perfect for discreet pumping.
  • An improved function that eliminates motor pauses.
    • This results in a more reliable pump performance.

Many moms are trying to relactate after the recent infant formula shortage. If you have concerns about baby's weight or need resources, contact a health care provider or pediatrician.

New Tubing, Valves, Flanges

New Tubing and Valves

Twist’s upgraded tubing is made from BPA, PVC, and DEHP-free silicone. The original Twist used a membrane valve system, but the NEW Twist features updated duckbill valves that deliver consistent suction throughout the pumping process.

New Flange Sizes

As an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), I LOVE all of the upgrades made to this tiny, but mighty pump, but my favorite change has to be the new flange lineup! Twist users will get a pair of 19mm, 21mm, and 24mm flanges in the box.

These smaller flanges are a step in the right direction to getting the right fit. Correct flange fit is essential for pumping comfort and effectiveness.

Other Great Features

While the Twist refresh improvements are enough to get excited about all on their own, these additional features are worth noting:

  • Massage and Expression Modes - Massage Mode mimics baby’s quick suckles at the beginning of a nursing session that triggers a letdown. Expression Mode provides longer, stronger suction cycles to help draw milk out as efficiently as possible.
  • Closed System - Backflow protection means milk is prevented from backing up into the pump’s tubing and motor. Closed system technology means more hygienic pumping.
  • Lightweight - At only 0.7 lbs, Twist is easy to carry with you wherever you go! This compact pump slips easily into a diaper bag or tote.
  • Dual Power Options - Twist offers the option to go portable with AA batteries. Gone are the days of being stuck to the wall every time you need to pump! This dual-power option comes standard and makes it easy to pump just about anywhere.
  • Insurance Eligibility - While this pump is INCREDIBLY affordable, it’s also an option for insurance coverage with many plans. Use our handy Insurance Lookup Tool to learn which Motif breast pumps might be covered and where to find them. Don’t forget that many Maternity Compression items and Breast Pump Supplies are also insurance-eligible. You might be eligible for replacement duckbill valves, diaphragms, collection bottles, flanges, and tubing covered 100% through insurance!
