How many pumping modes does the Motif Aura Glow have?

The Aura Glow has four distinct modes. In addition to standard Massage and Expression modes, it features two special modes designed by lactation professionals: Cluster Feeding Mode and General Pumping Mode.

What is the Cluster Feeding Mode?

This is a special mode designed to help boost milk supply by mimicking a baby's natural cluster feeding pattern. It alternates between 7 minutes of stronger suction and 5 minutes of rest (low suction) for a 30-minute mini power-pumping session.

What is the General Pumping Mode?

This is an everyday mode designed for optimal efficiency. It automatically starts in massage mode to stimulate let-down and then switches to expression mode after 2 minutes. This cycle repeats twice for two letdowns.

How long does the battery last?

A fully charged Aura Glow battery lasts for approximately 90 minutes of pumping time.

Does this wearable pump pair with an app?

No, the Motif Aura Glow is a standalone wireless breast pump and does not connect to an app. The Motif Aura app is only designed to pair with the original Motif Aura model.

How much milk does the collection container hold?

Each collection container holds up to 6 oz. of breast milk.

Is the nightlight adjustable?

Yes. Press and hold the nightlight button to set your preferred brightness. A short press will then turn it on or off at that setting. The light will turn off automatically after 30 seconds.

Is the Motif Aura Glow BPA-free?

Yes. All components that come into contact with breast milk are BPA, PVC, DEHP, and phthalate-free.

What kind of bra should I wear with this wearable pump?

The best bra is a supportive, snug-fitting one (like an adjustable nursing bra) that can firmly hold the wearable breast pump against your breast to ensure a good seal.

How do I find the right flange fit for my Aura Glow?

Finding the right fit is key to comfort and output. The Aura Glow comes with 24mm breast shields and four sets of silicone inserts (15mm, 17mm, 19mm, 21mm) to help you customize your fit. Your nipple should be centered and move freely in the tunnel without pain. You can use the included nipple ruler to measure.

How do I position the pump for the best suction?

Ensure your nipple is centered in the flange tunnel. Press the breast pump firmly against your breast to create a complete suction seal before turning it on. A loose fit will cause low or no suction.

How do I turn the pump on and off?

Press and hold the play/pause button to turn the pump on or off. After it's on, a short press of the same button will start or pause your pumping session.

Should I remove the motor before pouring my milk?

Yes, always detach the motor from the collection container before pouring your milk. This prevents milk from accidentally spilling into the motor and causing damage.

Can I pump while the unit is charging?

No, for safety reasons, the Aura Glow will not operate while it is plugged in and charging.

Cleaning & Troubleshooting

How do I clean my Aura Glow pump parts?

After each use, disassemble all five parts that come into contact with milk (shield, insert, diaphragm, valve, container). Rinse them in cool water, then wash by hand in warm, soapy water. Use the included brush for hard-to-reach areas. Air dry completely on a clean towel. The motor unit should only be wiped with a dry cloth.

How do I sterilize the pump parts?

To sterilize, place the disassembled, clean parts (everything except the motor) in a pot of water. Bring to a boil and let them boil for 5 minutes. Remove carefully with tongs and let them air dry completely.

Why is my wearable pump losing suction?

An assembly issue or a poor seal usually causes low suction. First, check that the duckbill valve and diaphragm are dry and securely in place. Second, ensure the pump is pressed firmly against your breast to create a complete seal. A loose bra can often be the cause.

How do I properly seal the breast shield to the container?

Align the center tunnel of the breast shield with the tunnel on the collection container. Press firmly in the center to seal it, then run your fingers along the entire outer rim to ensure the shield is secure all the way around.

Why does the pour spout stopper feel loose?

This is by design! The stopper is meant to prevent spills but must also allow air to escape as milk flows in. It will not (and should not) create a completely airtight seal.
