• Powerful Motor: Aura Glow’s motor produces up to 280 mmHg of suction which is on par with hospital-grade multi-user pumps.
• Easy Cleaning/Assembly: Because Aura Glow only consists of a few parts, it is easy to clean and assemble.

The pump automatically switches to Expression Mode after two minutes. Expression Mode uses longer, slower cycles and higher suction to mimic babies’ suckling once milk starts flowing. This phase of the program lasts thirteen minutes. For most people, this is when the largest volume of milk is expressed. The pump will automatically repeat the process a second time. General Pumping Mode has nine levels to choose from.

This pre-programmed session is meant to mimic cluster feeding similar to how power pumping does. Cluster feeding naturally occurs when a baby breastfeeds multiple times within a short period of time, only taking quick breaks. This frequent feeding behavior sends the signal to the mom’s body to make more milk. While a traditional power pumping session lasts for one hour, the Cluster Feeding program has built-in pauses that mimic cluster feeding within a thirty-minute pumping session. This pre-programmed session is great for helping to boost milk production. While traditional hour-long power pumping sessions are only recommended once or twice per day and for only a few days in a row, Cluster Feeding Mode can be used as desired. Cluster Feeding Mode has five levels to choose from.

Still prefer adjusting the pump manually? No problem! The Motif Aura Glow can be used without accessing the pre-programmed sessions simply by choosing one of the classic modes - Massage Mode or Expression Mode. Each classic mode has nine levels to choose from. 

The Motif Aura Glow can be a great addition to your pumping regimen! While wearables are amazing for convenience, most moms get the best results when pairing them with a primary pump like the Motif Luna. This is because wearable and portable pumps might not be as effective at removing milk as traditional double electric breast pumps. However, many moms are able to successfully incorporate wearable pumps by using these tips:

• Bra fit is important - Your bra needs to be tight enough to hold the pumps in place, but not so tight that your breast tissue is being compressed. Any shifting can cause poor suction and even pain. Aura Glow comes with two bra strap adjusters to help make it easier to get the right fit.
• High suction doesn’t necessarily mean more milk - While it might be tempting to crank the suction all the way up, keep in mind that more suction can actually work against you. Applying too much suction to your nipples can cause pain and irritation which can result in lower milk output. Only increase the suction to a comfortable level. If pumping is uncomfortable even at very low levels of suction reach out to an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) to help troubleshoot.
